About Me
I wanted to be a painter when I grew up, mostly because I really liked art class. My parents had a strong opinion on that, so I went to MIT and became an architect instead.
I dabbled in painting and photography throughout my career, but it was only after I retired that I had the time to get serious. Since the end of 2015 I have been painting almost every day, mostly in oils, but occasionally in other media. Recently I have been trying my hand at watercolor painting, hoping to use it for on-site and travel sketching.
I’ve also rediscovered photography, and enjoy taking architectural and travel photos, both in color and black and white.
I am a member of the Newburyport Art Association, an Artist Member of the Marblehead Arts Association, and I belong to a weekly painting group, Boston North Artists.
